This fall, Residence Hall Association will be hosting their annual Siblings Weekend Oct. 25-27. The event is open to all Duquesne residents and their siblings ages 6 to 16. Siblings will be permitted to stay in the Living Learning Centers with the resident. In the years past, RHA has taken the residents and their siblings to the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium around lunchtime on the Saturday of Siblings Weekend. This year, RHA will be doing another trip to the zoo—this year happens to be Zoo Boo, so residents and siblings can dress up in costumes and trick-or-treat throughout the zoo!
With each sibling that the resident brings, there will be meal tickets so that the siblings can eat in the dining hall for brunch and dinner each day. We have many activities for the residents and the siblings to enjoy—whether it is seeing a movie hosted on campus, playing bingo in the Towers multipurpose room for cool prizes, or even eating lots of food.
The cost for each sibling will be $20 and that will cover the ticket to the zoo and the meal vouchers for each day. The events held during Siblings Weekend will be free of charge and we will be giving out wonderful prizes to the residents and their siblings! Look for an email in the beginning of October to register for Siblings Weekend!
We hope that the siblings can join Residence Hall Association in celebrating the 2013 annual Siblings Weekend! If you have any questions about Siblings Weekend, please feel free to email Jarred Ervin, Vice President of Membership, Residence Hall Association, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
