Des Places Hall LLC Heritage Week

The residents of Des Places Hall LLC celebrated their first annual Heritage Week. The week-long celebration focused on the various aspects of being a Spiritan University. A kickoff party was held Monday for the residents, a birthday party for Duquesne was held on its 135th anniversary; highlighting the history and mission of Duquesne. On Wednesday, Claude Des Places’ feast was celebrated with mass and a dessert reception, which featured the Tamburitzans. Thursday demonstrated the importance to service to the University with projects benefiting Catholic Charities and local Pittsburgh schools. On Friday, the residents celebrated Duquesne’s commitment to the environment by singing the Des Places Pledge and pledging to be more sustainable. The week was a great success and a great way for students to celebrate their past, present, and future as a Spiritan University.
