Other DUV News

DUV Fair - on Tuesday, September 4, 2013 over 70 community organizations came to Duquesne to recruit students for community based volunteer opportunities.

Service Sundays – please join the Center for Student Involvement in the NiteSpot on Sunday Evenings for Service Sundays.  Each Sunday, volunteers will be able to participate in one time projects that include blanket making for NCIU babies, packing Hope Totes for Catholic Charities, and other projects.   Student organizations are welcomed and encouraged to also sponsor Sunday projects.  For more information please contact Mike Cecil at cecil@duq.edu.

Freshman Cleanup – on August 25, over 150 Freshman joined DUV for the Freshman Clean Up on the South Side.  Nearly 200 bags of trash and 50 bags of recyclables were collected in just two hours!

South Side Projects – Join DUV each Saturday morning for projects working with the South Side Community Council, South Side Slopes Association, the Chamber of Commerce, and Pennsylvania Resources Council.   To register, please join DUV on Campus Link.
