On Saturday, March 22, hundreds of Duquesne students and their families gathered for the annual Senior Celebration, an event recognizing graduating seniors and 4th year pharmacy students. Established in 1993 by the Duquesne Chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa (The National Leadership Honor Society), the event brought together all members of the Duquesne community to celebrate and reflect on the success and achievements of our students.
Sy Holzer, A’70, who serves as President, PNC Bank, Pittsburgh, gave the keynote address.
The Division of Student Life also recognized seven students with Student Life Leadership Awards for Excellence in Student Leadership. These awards were given to graduating students who have been extensively involved in University organizations and volunteer programs and who have demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout their tenure at Duquesne. The Eugene P. Beard Award for Leadership in Ethics was also presented to a graduating senior who best exemplifies the University’s commitment to moral and spiritual values through outstanding leadership in the area of ethics at the University, in community service, or family life.
