On Friday, April 26 Duquesne University faculty and staff have the opportunity to live the Mission of “Serving God by Serving Students” at the second annual “Original Study Break” from 9 p.m. – midnight. It is a time where faculty and staff members can serve food, root beer floats, ice cream and other tasty treats to students in the Hogan Dining Hall. The event gives students a chance to take a break from their time-intensive studying schedule in preparation for Final Exams. In addition to a variety of food selections, students can participate in a massive game of BINGO, de-stress by getting a chair massage, get a “theme” picture with their friends to take with them, work on a “theme” craft and just “mingle” with their friends, faculty and staff in a relaxed atmosphere. And just for attending, they can have a chance at one of the many door prizes offered every half hour throughout the evening. Over the past seven semesters, approximately 850 students make their way through the Hogan Dining Hall during this three hour “break.”
An awesome evening full of fun, food and entertainment!
