As we celebrate this great season of Love and Hope, I would ask that you spend a moment in meditation to think about what we are celebrating: Jesus, the second person of the Blessed Trinity, was born of the Virgin Mary and takes on a human body like ours, so that He could preach a life of Love, suffer and die on the Cross so that we can be saved, and rose on the third day.
As we believe that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, so we believe that the same act of giving he made on the Cross on Calvary is made present at each of our Masses, and where we receive the food of our souls to live a life of Love.
What a tremendous moment we are celebrating. What a moment to express our Faith. What a time to live out a life of Love in our own lives, the lives of our families, and in our social life.
My prayer is that the Child of Bethlehem will offer you his Love and Peace in this beautiful season.
Happy Christmas and be assured that you are in my prayers and Masses.
