On Sunday, March 16, 2014, the new officers of the Student Government Association, Residence Hall Association, Commuter Council, Student Government Senate, Duquesne Program Council, Class Councils, Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, Professional Fraternity Council, and the newly founded Black Greek Council were installed at the 11 a.m. Mass in the University Chapel. Following the Mass, a brunch for students, their families, and University Administrators was served in the Power Center Ballroom. Two guest speakers, former student leaders and Duquesne alumni, Nicholas Bell, Business Analyst from PNC, and Brandon Konieczny, Mortgage Consultant with Provident Foundation, shared their words of encouragement and wisdom on leadership with the new student leaders. Since the installation, each organization’s board continues their transition from the leaders of the past to the leaders of the future. With many positive outcomes from the past year, there is still much work to be done. Each organization and its leaders look forward to working with the Duquesne University administration, staff, students and its surrounding community.
