Academic Achievements of Student-Athletes

Duquesne University’s varsity Student-Athletes work as hard in the classroom as they do in their sports – and it shows! Please join us in congratulating them on their Fall 2012 academic achievements. We are proud to present the following statistics:

  • Overall team Grade Point Average (GPA) was 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
  • 14 of 16 teams posted a 3.0 GPA or above
  • 257 Student-Athletes earned a 3.0 or above; which represents nearly two thirds of all varsity teams
  • 127 Student-Athletes named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll
  • 142 Student-Athletes earned a 3.5 GPA or above
  • 21 Student-Athletes delivered a perfect 4.0 GPA
  • Zach Richert (Football) was named to the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association Academic All-Star Team
  • The Women’s Soccer Team received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America College Team Academic Award
  • The Men’s Soccer Team received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America College Team Academic Award
  • Josh Patterson (Men’s Soccer) was named to the Capital One Academic All-America Second Team
