On Nov. 9, 2014 the Alpha Mu chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi was officially installed at Duquesne University after months of hard work from the new members, the Office of Greek Life, the AOII colonization team and our resident Educational Leadership Consultant, Kelli Gatti. The Greek community will be welcoming a new chapter to Panhellenic. Alpha Omicron Pi will begin recruitment at Duquesne this coming fall. AOPi is a women’s fraternity, founded in 1897 at Barnard College in New York, N.Y. This organization “exceeds the expectation” by focusing on scholarship, leadership and service. With over 150,000 initiated members in 191 collegiate chapters and 147 alumnae chapters, AOPi is a solid organization that will be a wonderful addition to Duquesne.
