The Alpha Phi Delta fraternity held its 45th Annual Valentine’s Day Ball in the Union Ballroom on Saturday, Feb. 14. The event was a great success despite a snowstorm that resulted in several of the 290 scheduled guests not being able to make it into the city. The night began with an appetizer buffet followed by a sit-down dinner and dessert. All money raised was donated to the ALS Foundation. This year a special guest of honor, local firefighter Matt Onyshko, was in attendance making the ALS cause that much more of a reality to the brothers, alumni, parents and friends. A huge thank you to all those who attended the ball or left their mark on this event in some way.
It was almost a sweep. Brothers of the Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity have long been active and influential on Duquesne’s campus. This summer, their own national fraternity recognized their efforts.
