U.S. News’ Recognizes Nursing School, University Online Programs

Duquesne University and its School of Nursing have been recognized by U.S. News and World Report in its 2013 Best Online Education Program Rankings.

The School of Nursing’s graduate offerings were ranked No. 7 in the Best Online Nursing Programs category for its graduate nursing offerings. The University overall was ranked No. 125 of 160 schools ranked in the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs list. Continue reading →

New Nursing Dean Named

Dr. Mary Ellen Glasgow

In August, President Dr. Charles J. Dougherty named Dr. Mary Ellen Glasgow as dean of the School of Nursing. She succeeded Nursing Dean Dr. Eileen Zungolo, who retired after serving in her role for 10 years.

Glasgow was a professor and associate dean for nursing and undergraduate health professions and continuing nursing education at Drexel University. There, she was responsible for curricular and faculty development, institutional and accrediting body quality assessment, and fiscal planning. Continue reading →
