Career Carnival

Career Services held the 4th annual Career Carnival on November 7 in Towers Multipurpose Room. Nearly 300 undergraduate students from colleges and schools across the University learned about resources offered by Career Services. Resources and services include finding and applying for internships, resumes, career interest assessments and DuqConnection, the online internship and job posting system. Students gained this valuable information at four carnival “booths” where they also played games such as darts and ring toss, “fished for internships” and decorated their own plastic duck to “stand out in a crowd.” Hot dogs, cotton candy, snow cones, balloon art and the raffle of an iPod speaker completed the fun and learning opportunities of the Career Carnival.
