University Surpasses Goal for United Way

Continuing its tradition of supporting the community through United Way of Allegheny County, Duquesne University employees and students exceeded the campaign goal of $85,000 and raised $93,329.27 for 2011.

In all, 465 employees—or 29 percent—participated. They donated an average of $190, excluding special events, which raised $4,528.31. Twenty-four leaders donated $1,000 or more for a total of $35,718.

United Way Campaign co-chairs Rod Dobish, director of building services for facilities management, and Mary McIntyre, assistant to the president, extend their thanks to all who donated, coordinated fund-raisers and attended events.
