School of Pharmacy Hosts 10th Annual White Coat Ceremony

More than 500 family members and friends gathered in the Union Ballroom on Aug. 28 for the 10^th annual White Coat Ceremony. Hosted by the Mylan School of Pharmacy, the ceremony serves to mark a pharmacy student’s first year of professional study as pharmacists.

At the event, 207 students recited a pledge of professionalism and were presented with white coats that they will wear during their laboratory work and experiential education.

Craig G. Cochenour, a shareholder of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, delivered the keynote address at the White Coat Ceremony. A registered pharmacist, Cochenour is a 1981 graduate of the Mylan School of Pharmacy and a 1988 graduate of Duquesne’s School of Law. His practice of law is focused on the domestic and international procurement and enforcement of patent and other intellectual property rights.
