Duquesne Documents the Progress of Strategic Plan and Seeks Comments

After University-wide input and board approval of the 2010-2015 Strategic Plan, an implementation plan was developed to serve as a roadmap of smaller goals, considered steps to the attain the larger goals of the Strategic Plan.

During the last year, progress toward each of these implementation goals has been assessed and documented in the Strategic Plan Implementation Document Progress Report, available in DORI at http://www.duq.edu/progress-report. Faculty and staff are invited to share comments, assessments and other thoughts on the process utilizing the online comment form provided.

“A great deal of what we sought to achieve has been accomplished—even though some goals are of a nature that more can always be done,” said President Charles J. Dougherty. “Another grouping of implementation goals are in process, meaning we are on our way toward completion.”

In some cases, the administration revised a goal of the implementation document in order to meet the larger goals of the plan. “This has been—and continues to be—an important University process of planning, execution, assessment and planning again. And it has been an essential ingredient in the forward progress that Duquesne has been making,” said Dougherty.
