Required Title IX Training Offered in Classrooms, Online

The University has updated its policy and reporting procedures to comply with new U.S. Department of Education requirements.

Training on The Administrative Policy No. 31, Gender Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct Prevention, is being offered by the Title IX Coordinating Committee and the Office of Human Resource Management. Employees are required to receive training on this important topic. Training can be completed in a classroom setting or online through Blackboard.

The following employees are required to complete training:

  • Full- and part-time faculty
  • Full- and part-time administrators
  • Full-time support staff, including all union employees
  • Permanently funded part-time support employees
  • Graduate/teaching/research assistants and post-docs.

Work study and non-work study student employees are not required to complete this training.

Classroom training will be held in Room 609 of Libermann Hall, except where noted. Seating is limited, and advanced registration is required through DU Training Tracker.

Sessions will be offered:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 2 to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 11, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Room 104 of College Hall
  • Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Online training can be completed on DORI by following these steps:

  1. After logging in, click the Blackboard (Bb) icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  2. Click the blue Community tab in the top row.
  3. Locate and click TAP No. 31, Gender Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct Policy Review.
  4. Follow the instructions to complete the training and 10-question quiz.

The online training is available through Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013.
