Forensic Friday Analyzes Courtroom Knowledge Through Scientific Innovations

Enhancing Courtroom Knowledge of Forensic Scientific Innovations, a part of the Forensic Friday series, will enhance the understanding of lawyers and the scientific community regarding standards of legal admissibility in the face of scientific innovations.

This seminar will be on Friday, Dec. 14, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the Africa Room of the Union.

The Wecht Institute of Forensic Science and Law is exploring the critical importance of keeping the criminal justice community at pace with these recent advances in DNA analysis, forensic chemistry and toxicology.

  • Dr. Stephanie Wetzel, assistant professor of  chemistry
  • Dr. Frederick Fochtman, director of the forensic science and law master’s program
