Inaugural Graduate Student Research Symposium Announced

Duquesne will host its inaugural University-wide Graduate Student Research Symposium on Friday, Oct. 25, in the Africa Room.

Sponsored by the Office of Research, the symposium will showcase some the best examples of scholarship, research and creative activity of graduate students through poster and oral presentations. Students from all schools and disciplines are encouraged to participate.

“The Graduate Student Research Symposium is a venue for graduate students to share their scholarship and highlight the breadth of research at Duquesne,” said Dr. Alan W. Seadler, associate academic vice president for research. “It offers an opportunity for graduate students to present the work underlying their theses and dissertations in preparation for national conferences and meetings while providing role models for our undergraduate students.”

Awards will be presented to students who show outstanding research and scholarship. Students interested in participating should submit an abstract using the online submission form by Tuesday, Oct. 1. For additional information, email Mary McConnell or call 412.396.1537.
