Valarie Blake, visiting assistant professor of law, presented Narrow Networks, the Very Sick, and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: Recalling the Purpose of Health Insurance and Reform at the Center for Bioethics and Health Law Colloquium on Sept. 12 at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Roger Brooke, director of the Military Psychology Clinic and professor of psychology, delivered The Soldier’s Heart as Moral Calling as the keynote address at the Mental Health Summit on Sept. 10 at the Veterans Administration in Butler.

Ken Gormley, professor and dean in the School of Law, participated in The Importance of Access to Justice and the Rule of Law to American Business, a Sept. 15 panel discussion held at a three-day legal aid conference in Washington, D.C., to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Legal Services Corp. Other featured speakers and panelists at the conference included Vice President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, and Supreme Court Justices Elena Kagan and Antonin Scalia.
