Faculty & Staff Spotlight

Ken Gormley, professor and dean of law, organized and moderated the event President Ford’s Pardon of Richard Nixon: A Forty-Year Retrospective at the Gerald R. Ford Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Following that panel, Gormley participated in the luncheon forum, Our Constitution Works: President Ford’s Date with Destiny, along with fellow panelists retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens and former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neil. In addition, Gormley presented the keynote lecture President Ford’s Pardon of Richard Nixon, on Oct. 21 at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Dr. Lenore Resick, clinical professor of nursing and the Noble J. Dick Endowed Chair in Community Outreach, presented Mental Health and Sense of Control: Living in Communities Undergoing Rapid Change at the Shale Drilling and Public Health: Days of Discovery Conference on Sunday, Oct. 26, in Pittsburgh. The conference was sponsored by the PA League of Women Voters’ Pennsylvania Shale and Public Health Committee.
