Campus Night of Lights Set for Dec. 4

Campus will be filled with the Christmas spirit on Thursday, Dec. 4, when the Student Government Association presents A Christmas Carol, this year’s theme for the annual Night of Lights event.

Faculty, staff, students and their families are invited to this festive Duquesne tradition, which literally lights up campus for the Christmas season.

A Christmas Carol will feature:

  • Christmas carols, 4:30 p.m., Union Perron
  • Carriage rides, sponsored by The Office of Alumni Relations, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Academic Walk
  • Santa’s workshop, featuring craft booths, silent auction and pictures with Santa, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Africa Room, Union
  • Official lighting of campus by President Charles J. Dougherty, approximately 5:15 p.m., Academic Walk
  • Christmas dinner, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Union Ballroom, $9 per person.

Holiday performances also will be held throughout the evening by University student organizations. All donations collected during the event will benefit Autism Speaks.
