Leadership Series Concludes with Session on Emotional Intelligence

The School of Leadership and Professional Advancement will conclude its Leadership Breakfast Series with Emotional Intelligence: A Different Kind of Smart, on Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Power Center Ballroom.

Emotional Intelligence, commonly referred to as EQ, is the ability to understand, interpret and respond to the emotions of others. Business professionals who understand the link between emotions, behavior and performance can apply EQ skills to maximize effectiveness and become high-performing team members.

During the session, Jane Patterson Abbate, managing partner of Cornerstone Team Development, and Bill Abbate, managing principal at Consulting Collaborative, will co-present the five areas of emotional intelligence that every leader needs to create the right climate for success.

Advance registration is required to attend. Employees receive a discounted rate and can register for each session via MyLead. The $25 fee includes continental breakfast and handout materials.
