United Way Campaign Continues Through Nov. 26

There is still time for members of the campus community to contribute to this year’s United Way fundraising campaign, which concludes on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

The annual campaign has reached the 78.5 percent mark, or $82,400 of its goal, but needs a final push to meet the initial goal of $105,000.

“Our current numbers represent an amazing commitment to supporting vital community services and those in need,” said Nicole Feldhues, director of career services and chair of this year’s United Way campaign. “But I know if we come together in this last week, we can do something special and meet our goal.”

As of mid-November, the United Way Campaign had met its leadership donor goal, but remains almost 154 donors shy of reaching the target of 35 percent participation.

When donating to the United Way, each gift is combined with the gifts of others and impacts the community issues that matter most, said Feldhues. “For every additional employee that chooses to give and for every additional dollar that is given, it helps support key initiatives such as helping children and youth achieve their potential, promoting financial stability and independence, and improving health,” explained Feldhues.
