  • Dr. John Stolz, director of the Center for Environmental Research and Education, Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, $60,720, from the Heinz Endowments for the completion of surveys and analysis of well-water quality in western Pennsylvania in relation to shale gas development.
  • Dr. Patrick Juola, professor of computer science, McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, $49,960 in Bridge Funding, from Duquesne’s Office of the Provost for Authorship Attribution Technology and Its Application.
