Faculty & Staff Spotlight

Dr. Antony Davies, associate professor of economics, served as a panelist for the fourth annual Freedom Forum at Franklin Regional Middle School on Feb. 24. The discussion focused on Pennsylvania’s next four years with a Democratic governor and a Republican majority in the General Assembly as well as challenges statewide.

Dr. Julia Sienkewicz, assistant professor of art history, held two external research fellowships in the fall at the Yale Center for British Art in New Haven, Conn., and at the Winterthur Museum in Wilmington, Del., during which she conducted research for her upcoming book Epic Landscapes: Benjamin Henry Latrobe’s Virginian Watercolors, 1794-1799.

Dr. Robert Sroufe, the Murrin Chair of Global Competitiveness in the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, presented Impact Investing and The Business Case for High Performance Design on Feb. 12 at the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Institute of Architects and its Committee on the Environment.

Dr. Philipp Stelzel, assistant professor of history, published Transnationalism and the History of Historiography: A Transatlantic Perspective in History Compass Journal. He also chaired a panel at a University of Pittsburgh conference on Feb. 27 titled 1989 and its Long-Term Repercussions: Making Sense of the Berlin Republic.
