Lexicon Art Show to Feature Works by Faculty, Staff and Students

The campus community is invited to check out various artistic projects produced by University faculty, staff, students and alumni at a daylong art showcase hosted by Lexicon.

The Duquesne Art Show is a free event that will feature drawings, photography, paintings, sculpture and film, as well as live music, dance and dramatic performances. Slated for Tuesday, March 31, from noon to 9 p.m. in the Power Center Ballroom, Art Show will include a 6 p.m. reception followed by an open mic segment at 7 p.m. that will include poetry/literature readings and music.

In addition, attendees will be eligible for a free raffle for prizes including two free passes to the Andy Warhol museum, t-shirts from Commonwealth Press, a Barnes & Noble gift card and a Lexicon t-shirt.

Lexicon is a student-run literary and visual arts journal that features poetry, prose, drama, music and visual art of University faculty, staff, students and alumni. The journal was developed to celebrate and encourage the arts and artists at the University.
