Film Focused on Fancy Footwork Closes Italian Classic Film Festival

The final film in the Italian Classic Film Festival will be screened on Sunday, April 26.

Ginger & Fred, a 1985 film directed by Federico Fellini, will be shown at 3 p.m. in the Union’s Africa Room. Society in general and TV in particular are skewered by this nostalgic tribute focused on two retired performers, who recreate the work of dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The screening is free and open to the public.

The Italian Classic Film Festival has been sponsored by the Honorary Consulate of Italy Pittsburgh in collaboration with the Center for International Relations at Duquesne and the 41st annual Western Pennsylvania Symposium on World Literatures.
