  • The Department of Biology, BSNES, $1,000, from the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology through an undergraduate research award for Andrew Magyan under the instruction of Dr. Sarah Woodley, associate professor of biological sciences.
  • Dr. Alan Seadler, Edward V. Frizky Chair, BSNES, $19,900, from the Fisher Fund at The Pittsburgh Foundation to support the development of an educational module to be used at The Citizen Science Lab.
  • Dr. Alan Seadler, Edward V. Frizky Chair, BSNES, $20,100, from the Fisher Fund at The Pittsburgh Foundation to support scholarships for underprivileged middle- and high-school students to attend programs at The Citizen Science Lab.
  • Dr. Dean McFarlin, dean of the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, $55,500, from the A.J. and Sigismunda Palumbo Charitable Trust to support renovation and technology updates to Room 603, Rockwell Hall.
