Grants Received

Funds totaling $65,000 were recently received by the Aging Research and Teaching Consortium and the Center for Environmental Research and Education.

  • The Aging Research and Teaching Consortium, $25,000, from Duquesne University Provost Dr. Timothy Austin. The consortium represents a way for the University to develop a strong collaborative program with a niche in potentially cutting edge research on aging. Dr. Jane Cavanaugh, assistant professor of pharmacology, and Dr. Sarah Wallace, assistant professor of speech-language pathology and director of the adult language and cognition clinic, will administer the funds.
  • The Center for Environmental Research and Education, $40,000 in additional funding, from The Institute of Professional Environmental Practice. Dr. John Stolz, director of the center, will administer the award.
