Funds totaling $396,747 were recently received by the Mylan School of Pharmacy, the School of Education and the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences.

  • Dr. Aleem Gangjee, distinguished professor, School of Pharmacy, $380,747, Year 5 funding from the National Institutes of Health—National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, for Pneumocystis Jirovecii Targeted Antiopportunistic Agents. This brings the total award to $1.88 million.
  • Dr. Temple Lovelace, associate professor of counseling, psychology and special education, School of Education, $15,000, from The Sprout Fund, for Sister II Sister: Promoting Empowerment with eSTEAM.
  • Ben Wecht, program administrator for the Wecht Institute of Forensic Science and Law, Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, $1,000, from the Elsie. H. Hillman Foundation, for public service. The funds will be managed by Wecht and Bayer Dean Dr. Philip Reeder.
