CETR Open House and Writing Group Session Set for Thursday

The Center for Community-Engaged Teaching and Research (CETR) plans a double-header of events for tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 11.

The CETR’s Community-Engaged Writing Group, comprised of faculty members from various disciplines, meets monthly to provide dedicated writing time for faculty working on manuscripts about their community-engaged scholarship. The group will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Gumberg Library Conference Room. Although some members have been following Wendy Laura Belcher’s book, Writing Your Journal Article in 12 Weeks: A Guide to Academic Publishing Success, since October, new members are welcome.

In addition, interested community partners and community-engaged scholars are invited to attend the center’s monthly open house, Community Uncorked, to meet and exchange ideas over wine and cheese. The open house will be from 4 to 5 p.m. at the CETR office, located at 20 Chatham Square (Murphy Building).

RSVPs are requested for both events, 412.396.5893.
