Local Entrepreneurs to Discuss Steps to Success at Upcoming Conference

More than 400 small business managers and owners will gather for breakout sessions, keynote addresses and a tradeshow in conjunction with the theme What’s Your Next Chapter to Success? during the 2016 Entrepreneur’s Growth & Networking Conference on campus next month.

Jeff Broadhurst

Hosted by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the 18th annual conference takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, in the Union Ballroom.

Local business experts and successful entrepreneurs will cover a range of topics useful to businesses in a modern market, such as becoming a breakout brand, the importance of greening a business, and social media marketing during the nearly dozen breakout sessions being offered.

Scot Teachout

Scot Teachout, president of Peak Performance, will open the conference with his breakfast keynote address, and Jeff Broadhurst, president and chief executive officer of Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, will be the keynote speaker at the conference luncheon.

“This conference is always an exciting event for attendees,” said SBDC Director Dr. Mary McKinney. “Not only is it a wonderful networking opportunity but also a dynamic learning experience with first-class keynote speakers, workshops tailored to small business issues and exhibits and prizes.”
