Duquesne Alumna Inspires Crowd at United Way Luncheon

Dr. Josie Badger addressed nearly 200 members of the campus community at the Oct. 24 United Way luncheon.

A 2014 Duquesne graduate, Badger is the youth director at the Parent Education and Advocacy Leadership (PEAL) Center in Pittsburgh. She believes that everyone has the power to make a difference in someone’s life whether it is through volunteer work, donations or just taking the time to be there for others.

Badger shared what being “united” means to her, and she encouraged attendees to reach out to populations that may not feel united with the rest of society.

Duquesne University has reached 46.9 percent of its campaign target of $108,000. To find out more information about the campus campaign and to make a donation, visit Duquesne’s United Way website.

The campus United Way campaign runs through Wednesday, Nov. 30.
