‘Schubert on the Bluff’ Presents ‘Sublime’

The next installment of season two of Schubert on the Bluff presents Sublime, featuring performances of works by Austrian composer Franz Schubert and American classical composer Aaron Copland.

Hosted by the Mary Pappert School of Music, Sublime will be held this Sunday, Oct. 23, at 3 p.m. in PNC Recital Hall. Join artistic director David Allen Wehr at 2:30 p.m. for a pre-concert discussion with guest cellist Anne Martindale Williams.

In addition to Wehr and Williams, performers include numerous music school faculty and members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. The program will feature performances of Copland’s Old American Songs and Piano Variations, and Schubert’s Sonata in A Major, D. 664 and String Quintet in C Major, D. 956.
