Spiritan Pedagogy Conversation Series Continues

As the number of faculty, graduate students and administrators reflecting on the idea of a Spiritan pedagogy continues to grow, the Center for the Catholic Intellectual Tradition (CCIT) continues to offer a venue in which the conversation can take place.

Focusing on the theme Building Authentic Relationships Across Campus and Beyond, the CCIT’s Spiritan Pedagogy Conversations are designed to bring together individuals looking to deepen the Duquesne campus community and better understand others whose experiences are different.

The CCIT will provide lunch at the next session on Monday, Nov. 7, from 11:30 a.m. from 1 p.m. in Room 613 of the Union. The discussion will explore the seven hallmarks of education in the Spiritan tradition: Openness to the Spirit, Global Vision, Sense of Community, Concern for the Poor, Commitment to Service, High Academic Standards and Academic Freedom.

The Spiritan Pedagogy Conversations series is co-sponsored by the Center for Teaching Excellence.

All members of the Duquesne community are invited to attend. RSVP by emailing ccit@duq.edu.
