Grants Received

Funds totaling $81,108 were recently received by the School of Education, the School of Law, and the Mylan School of Pharmacy.

  • Dr. Temple Lovelace, associate professor, School of Education, $1,000, from The Sprout Fund for Youth Leading Change.
  • School of Law, two grants totaling $25,000, from PNC Charitable Trust, for student and faculty support, and outreach and engagement efforts. Interim Law Dean Maureen Lally-Green will administer the awards.
  • Dr. Wilson Meng, associate professor of pharmaceutics, Mylan School of Pharmacy, $45,108, from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation passed through Allegheny-Singer Research Institute, for Tolerogenic Nanoparticle Therapy for Type I Diabetes.
  • Dr. Gretchen Generett, associate professor, School of Education, $10,000, a community engaged research grant from the Center for Community-Engaged Teaching and Research and the Provost’s Office, to be used for research.
