Funds totaling $160,000 were recently received by the School of Education, the School of Law, and the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences (BSNES).

  • Dr. Temple Lovelace, associate professor, School of Education, $50,000, from The Grable Foundation, for the Youth Leading Change project.
  • Tiffany Sizemore-Thompson, assistant clinical professor, School of Law, $100,000, from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, passed through the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, to be used to provide legal services in low-income public housing communities.
  • Dr. Michael Cascio, associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry, BSNES, $10,000, from a National Institute of Health subcontract with the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, for TARP Modulation of AMPA Receptors.
