Richard Longo, business consultant in the Small Business Development Center, recently became certified in Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas to better assist entrepreneurs in evolving and transforming technology into business ventures.

Dr. Elaine Parsons, associate professor of history, presented a talk about the Ku Klux Klan’s Role in the history of terrorism in the United States at the Pittsburgh Humanities Festival on March 26.

Dr. Jacob Rooksby, associate dean of administration and assistant professor of law, discussed his new book, The Branding of the American Mind: How Universities Capture, Manage and Monetize Intellectual Property and Why It Matters, on March 23 at Virginia Commonwealth University as part of its Sanger Series. He also discussed his book later that same evening at the College of William & Mary Bookstore.

Dr. Sarah Manspeaker, assistant professor of athletic training, was recently selected to participate in the National Athletic Trainers Association’s Leadership Development Certificate Program, which will allow her to advance the athletic training program in the Rangos School of Health Sciences.
