UCLA Professor to Present the First Worlds of Being Workshop

UCLA professor of anthropology C. Jason Throop will present a roundtable discussion on the moral mood of regret on Friday, March 31, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Rockwell Hall’s McGinley Conference Room.

Throop kicks off the first workshop in the Worlds of Being series focusing on issues of suffering and healing in a culturally diverse world. His presentation Being Otherwise: On Regret, Morality, and Mood focuses on his recent fieldwork on the island of Yap, a part of the Federated States of Micronesia.

A paper will be circulated in advance and RSVP’s are requested. The workshop is free and open to faculty and students.
