Dr. Clifford Bob, professor and chair of political science, recently presented research papers at the International Studies Association annual convention and at the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics in Mexico City.

Dr. Maryellen Kelly, assistant professor of marketing and management, recently earned the Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional designation, the premier professional certification in the human resources field.

Christie Kliewer, outreach and communications librarian at Gumberg Library, presented the paper Information and Anxiety: The Impossibility of ‘Literacy’ and the Necessity of Agency on April 8 as part of Criticality, a panel held during the University of Oregon’s What is Life conference. Kliewer co-wrote the presentation with Digital Scholarship Librarian Gesina Phillips from Duquesne and a colleague from the Heinz History Center.

Dr. Maureen O’Brien, associate professor of theology, was named vice president of the Association of Graduate Programs in Ministry. The organization was founded to promote the quality of ministerial education in the service of church and society, including lay Catholic Ministers.
