- Dr. Jana Vogt, professor of biological sciences, BSNES, $413,914, from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, for Novel Aspects of Phosphatidylcholine Metabolism.
- Dr. John Stolz, professor of environmental microbiology and director of the Center for Environmental Research and Education, BSNES, $5,300, from the Lanxess Corporation, to support an environmental science and management student in partial fulfilment of their master’s degree.
