More Than 190 Graduating from School of Pharmacy Class of 2017

The School of Pharmacy will celebrate its 192 graduates this Saturday, May 20, during its annual Commencement ceremony at 10:30 a.m. in the A.J. Palumbo Center. Pharmacy Dean Dr. J. Douglas Bricker will confer the degrees at the ceremony.

Duquesne alumna and pharmacist Terry Talbott, who is regional director of government affairs for CVS Health, will deliver the Commencement address. A 1987 graduate of the School of Pharmacy, Talbott has worked for CVS for 25 years, previously serving as a pharmacist and pharmacy supervisor in Northeast Pennsylvania for the organization.

Talbott also is a past president of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association and a recipient of the American Pharmacists Association’s prestigious Bowl of Hygeia Award for community service. She also is a member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy, for which she served as a past chair.

The School of Pharmacy Commencement ceremony will be preceded by an 8 a.m. Mass that will be held in the Chapel.
