Reminder: Check Paystubs for Updated Benefit Deductions

Benefit elections chosen during the 2017-2018 open enrollment period will take effect on Saturday, July 1.

Employees are encouraged to check their Friday, July 7, paystub to ensure all benefit selections and other deductions are correct. Paystubs can be accessed through the Self-Service Banner in DORI and benefit information through bswift.

Any discrepancies must be reported immediately to the benefits office in writing or via email. Corrections will not be accepted after Friday, July 21.

Important reminders:

• Medical insurance cards are available online for viewing and printing.
• New medical and prescription cards will be mailed to all employees enrolled in a medical or prescription plan during the 2017-2018 plan year.
• The Medical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account year is a 14-month period from July 1, 2017 to Sept. 15, 2018.
• CVS Caremark provides prescription drug coverage for Cigna OAP and UPMC EPO members. High Deductible Health Plan participants can use their medical insurance card for prescriptions.
• Many University vendors have apps that can be downloaded to help better manage benefits while on the go.
• Purchased vacation days will not appear in leave balance until July 21.
• Customer service numbers, links to vendor websites and plan group numbers can be found on the benefits office website.
