Local Fair Trade Vendor to Speak at Next Libermann Luncheon

Local businesswoman Wendy Farmerie will share personal stories about building relationships with artisans from Nicaragua and Kygyzstan and explain the challenges artisans encounter globally at the next campus Libermann Luncheon.

Held in conjunction with the annual Fair Trade Week, the lunch is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 30, at noon in the Union’s Africa Room.

Farmerie has operated The Silk Road Fair Trade Market in New Wilmington, Pa., for the past 11 years using a fair-trade business model.
