President Gormley Set to Illuminate Campus for the Christmas Season

The Student Government Association will kick off the holiday season on Wednesday, Nov. 29, when they host the 21st annual Night of Lights celebration.

Faculty, staff, students and their families are invited to attend A Silent Night on the Bluff, this year’s theme for the annual Night of Lights event, and watch as President Ken Gormley officially “pulls the switch” at 5 p.m. on Academic Walk for the ceremonial lighting of Duquesne’s campus. In addition, the 50th anniversary of the Duquesne Union will be recognized as part of the event.

Participants can enjoy campus by carriage ride and visit Santa’s workshop to check out the various craft booths and raffles while sampling cookies and hot cocoa. A Christmas dinner will also be available in the Union Ballroom for $9.50. Meal plans, cash and credit are all accepted, and takeout is available.
