Nearly 700 veterans and guests were in attendance at the breakfast, which is one of the largest veteran events of its kind in Pennsylvania.

Participants enjoyed breakfast, honored those who have served and shared stories. Duquesne Psychology Professor Dr. Roger Brooke, an expert in post-traumatic stress disorder who is director of military psychological services at the University, presented the keynote address.

Among the guests in attendance were former Pittsburgh Steeler Rocky Bleier, who served in Vietnam and whose daughter attends Duquesne, and Leo Plunkett, a 101-year-old veteran who was presented an honorary degree by the University last year.
