Residence Hall Association’s Campus-Wide Easter Egg Hunt

On Thursday, March 21 executive board members of Residence Hall Association placed Easter Eggs throughout campus. Approximately 300 eggs were placed between Assumption Commons and the Duquesne University Chapel. There were a total of 54 Easter Eggs that contained vouchers for gift cards so that students could pick their prizes up in the Office of Residence Life. Approximately 250 eggs were also hidden that contained candy. Board members hiding eggs included President Vincent Rugani, Vice President of Membership Jarred Ervin, Vice President of Public Relations Mary Wattick, Vice President of Finance Philip Formica and former Vice President of Finance Richard Vaerewyck. The egg hunt was set to begin around 9 p.m. on March 21 and last until March 27 at 4:30 p.m. Residence Hall Association was not expecting that the campus would be filled with over 100 students searching for Easter Eggs at 9 p.m. Members of the executive board were still outside hiding eggs and had to stop because of attention. Members returned around 10:30 p.m. to finish hiding eggs. All Easter Eggs were found before midnight of March 22!

The success from this year’s Easter Egg Hunt was very unexpected and Residence Hall Association wishes to make the event bigger, better and more fun for next year! We look forward to working with the students and having great success with this event in the years to come!
