International Programs

Over 100 Duquesne University students recently returned from spring break study abroad trips to Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Nicaragua. Our students, accompanied by their faculty, studied art history in Paris; sustainability initiatives in Germany; the geography of sacred places in Spain; Holocaust philosophy in Berlin, Germany; sociology in Rome and Bologna; science and faith in Rome and Geneva; and nursing care in Nicaragua. With only a short 8-10 days abroad, students and faculty become close friends as they navigated their exciting, but unfamiliar international locations. Student learning accelerates and transforms as the world opens up and becomes a tangible reality to many who are on their first experience leaving the United States.
