New VP for Management and Business Named

David R. Beaupré has been named vice president for management and business at Duquesne, effective Monday, July 1. He is currently the associate vice president of finance at Loyola University Maryland.

“I am very excited to work with such a talented team within the Division of Management and Business as well as with campus leadership, faculty and students in an environment with a Spiritan mission and strong values,” said Beaupré.

In his new role at the University, Beaupré will oversee the Division of Management and Business, which works with students, staff and faculty as well as prospective employees, vendors, outside auditors and regulatory agencies. The division is comprised of the controller’s office, planning and budgeting, computing and technology services, facilities management, human resources, institutional research and public safety, among others.

Prior to joining Loyola University Maryland in 2007 as assistant vice president of finance, Beaupré worked for Kaludis Consulting as well as Parson Consulting, both organizations that provide financial consulting and strategic planning services to universities across the United States. He also has worked at Arthur Andersen LLP, KPMG Peat Marwick, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and the College of St. Joseph in Vermont.

Beaupré has an MBA in executive management from Boston’s Suffolk University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of St. Joseph. He and his wife, Libby, have a son David, 21, and a daughter Caroline, 17.
