University Hosting Feb. 20 Blood Drive

Donating just one pint of blood can help as many as three people in need, including persons coping with life-threatening diseases or recovering after accidents or surgery.

Members of the campus community are urged to donate at a blood drive that will be held on Thursday, February 20, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Africa Room of the Union.

The blood drive is sponsored and organized by Central Blood Bank of Western Pennsylvania.

Appointments can be made on the quarter hour by emailing Carol Negley in the Office of Human Resources.

Donors, who must bring a photo ID, should drink plenty of fluids and eat prior to donating. Approximately one hour is needed for the screening and donation process.
